Explore one of France’s most remarkable UNESCO-listed landscapes and visit three celebrated Renaissance châteaux in a single day: monumental Chambord, royal Amboise and elegant Chenonceau spanning the River Cher.
Your itinerary
Departure from Paris
Drive via the A10 — about 1.5 hours to the Loire Valley.
Chambord
Discover the largest château in the Loire Valley, with 440 rooms and its famous double-helix staircase associated with Leonardo da Vinci. We aim to arrive before the tour coaches.
Amboise & lunch
Visit the royal château overlooking the Loire and the Chapelle Saint-Hubert, where Leonardo da Vinci is buried. Lunch in town with river views, perhaps with duck confit and a local wine.
Chenonceau
Explore the graceful château built across the River Cher. Its arched gallery, historic interiors, tapestries and gardens make it one of the Loire Valley’s most memorable sites.
Optional wine tasting
If time allows, stop for a tasting of Vouvray or Chinon before returning to Paris.
Return to Paris
Arrival around 20:00.
